How to be a Member
Membership to the Philippine Social Science Council is organizational. Admission to membership in the PSSC is either by invitation or application. An invitation is extended upon the recommendation of the Membership Committee and endorsed by the Board of Trustees. Social science institutions, organizations, centers or agencies can also apply for membership. They should comply with the membership requirements and must be endorsed by any of the PSSC regular or associate members.
Eligibility
REGULAR MEMBERS
- must be a duly established, qualified, independent, private, non-profit national societies, associations, or organizations of individual professionals or practitioners in the social sciences and related fields
- must be an active organization with updated SEC-registration
- must have regularly published journals or similar learned publications and knowledge generation activities at least once a year
- must regularly conduct national conferences or congress
ASSOCIATE MEMBERS
- must be a duly established, qualified, independent, private, non-profit national societies, associations, or organizations of individual professionals or practitioners in the social sciences and related fields
- must be an active organization with updated SEC-registration
- must have regularly published journals or similar learned publications and knowledge generation activities at least once a year
- must regularly conduct national conferences or congress

Requirements
A prospective member-organization must submit the following:
- expression of interest thru a formal letter;
- endorsement by an existing PSSC member-organization (regular or associate) thru a formal letter;
- supporting documents including:
- profile and a short history of the organization;
- SEC registration and By-laws (for professional/national organizations)
- BOR resolution for school/university-based institutions/centers approving or endorsing membership to PSSC ;
- copy of latest financial statement/report;
- copy of the latest annual report; and
- copy of the latest journal / official publication, or proof of knowledge generation/dissemination activities.
The Membership Committee will review the eligibility of the organization and will recommend to the Board of Trustees (BOT) whether or not to accept the organization as a regular or associate member. Membership shall take effect upon the payment of the annual dues. New members are formally welcomed to the PSSC family during the PSSC General Membership in February.
